Climate and natural hazard risk decisions are hard. Adaptation strategies that have to hold for decades, land use choices that shape where communities live and invest, capital programmes that boards and regulators need to trust. The evidence base for all of it lives in Resilience Explorer®, and now it is organised around the way you actually work.
The refreshed Home and Use Cases sections organise the platform around four planning contexts:
Adaptation Planning Guiding communities through changing climate and natural hazard risk.
Land Use Planning and Development Making growth decisions that remain defensible as hazard conditions change.
Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Building plans that reflect what will actually happen during a hazard event.
Asset and Infrastructure Planning Directing capital investment to where it reduces the most risk.
Each use case has its own overview, learning pathway, and data needs guide. The overview frames the planning challenge and the key questions your work is built around. The learning pathway organises articles and concepts from fundamentals through to advanced methods, structured for the role you hold. The data needs guide maps what is required to move from identifying exposure through to testing long-term strategies.
The roles reflected across these use cases span adaptation planning leads and strategic planners, CDEM officers and emergency management coordinators, infrastructure teams and asset managers, iwi and hapū planning roles, and private consultancies. Wherever you sit, Resilience Explorer® now speaks to your context first.
